Since its inception the project has managed to provide a temporary home for the destitute children and placings in local schools to start or continue with formal education.

Future Plans

1. To acquire a piece of land for constructing a permanent children’s home.

2. Start a training program in the home

3. Start an informal schooling program for overaged children

4. Strive to accommodate a maximum of 300 children.

Constraints

1. The home is presently housed on one of the members compound. There is the tremendous need to find a permanent accommodation for the home.

2. No steady flow of financial assistance and therefor problems providing basic needs for the children such as shelter, food and clothing.

3. Cost of high school education is high and due to the lack of funding children’s schooling is often disrupted.

4. Cost of medical care is also high. The children have gone through traumatic and physical abuse requiring specialised care.
